‘CREATIVE SPARKS’ – The Online Art Contest To Inspire Vietnamese Youth

With the aim of motivating Vietnamese young artists about renewable energy topic, the EU-Viet Nam Energy Facility (EVEF Project) – GIZ Energy Support Programme (ESP) has organized a competition named “Creative Sparks – Renewable Energy Art Competition” to raise awareness among youth about Renewable energy and inspire them to act for environment with small and simple starting steps. The contest took place from 27 May to 18 June, 2021 and has received great attention from public.

The competition was open to all Facebook users who are located in Viet Nam. Participants had to complete 3 steps to successfully submit their artworks and the winners were chosen based on the public vote on the EVEF Facebook page. Artists could freely express their ideas through hand-drawing or digital methods. The topics also varied from renewable energy, climate change to environment.

22 artworks from 19 participants has been turned in with different styles, colors and a lot of meaningful messages conveyed. 01 winner and 02 runner-ups have been awarded with meaningful artsy stuff: drawing standing boards, acrylic color paint sets and solar-powered light string bulbs. The contest has successfully achieved its mission to raise youth’s interest about the environment through creativity and art.

“Creative Sparks” was held within the framework of the EU – Viet Nam Energy Facility, a Joint Technical Cooperation Project co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ in close cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
