On 22-23 November 2022, the Standing Office of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee/National Assembly and the German Development Cooperation Agency GIZ co-chaired the National Dialogue on “Sustainable Energy Transition – Governance, Finance and Technology”. The forum is within the scope of the “Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia” (CASE) project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

The forum was graced by the presence of His Excellency Nguyen Duc Hai, National Assembly’s Deputy President, and His Excellency Guido Hildner, Ambassador of the German Embassy to Viet Nam.


The forum focused on topics of current interests which is the energy transition in Viet Nam and issues discussed at COP 27. Throughout the dialogue program, there are exchanges and discussions on international experiences and Viet Nam’s practice in developing strategic orientations and plans for a sustainable energy transition to reach carbon neutrality by mid-century.
