To be proactive with the energy transition and ensure national grids’ safety and efficiency, Viet Nam should learn new application of other countries on using big data for forecasting renewable energy generation, controlling and managing microgrids, and integrating solar power systems into the grids.
Those issues were addressed at the “Exchange forum on energy transition, digital transition and smart grid,” which took place on 19-20 December 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City. GIZ and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) jointly organised the event.
The forum was a part of the Commercial and Industrial Rooftop Solar (CIRTS) project, which is implemented by GIZ and the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority of Viet Nam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
