As part of the Public Private Partnership project (PPP), GIZ Energy Support Programme in cooperation with the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) initiated and supported the cooperation between TÜV SÜD in Vietnam and Indefol Vietnam to explore green hydrogen (GH2) production and utilization potentials in Viet Nam.
The two German companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 31, 2024 to collaborate on international standards and certification for GH2 projects, focusing on textile, apparel and steel industries.
Indefol, as the project developer, is responsible for selecting contractors and technology, capital mobilisation, and operation of renewable energy assets.
TÜV SÜD experts assist Indefol in ensuring verification and certification processes comply with the world’s highest standards and grant certification for carbon tax avoidance when exporting goods.
The collaboration is expected to serve as a premise to explore opportunities for GH2 development in other countries, including Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, Brazil, and China.
