GIZ India showcased its stall at Matsya Pranee Samavesh 2024 in Odisha, organized by the Fisheries and Animal Development Department, Government of Odisha, from February 16-18, 2024. The projects from the Environment Cluster – Sustainable Aquaculture for Food and Livelihood (SAFAL) and the Energy Cluster – Promotion of Solar Water (PSWP) demonstrated “integrated solutions for sustainable aquaculture” in the state. While SAFAL focuses on building the capacity of fisher folks to practice sustainable methods for fish farming, PSWP concentrates on integrating renewable energy to meet the energy requirements. Both projects have collaborated to create a sustainable model for the development of the sector and to enhance the productivity and profitability of farmers.
