A delegation of the German Federal Ministry for Economy and Climate Action (BMWK) paid a visit to Viet Nam during June 10-12, 2024. The focus of the visit is the upgrade of energy partnership between Viet Nam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and BMWK.
A more comprehensive and broader energy partnership is expected to facilitate more intensive support for Viet Nam, with a larger scale of resources and at a higher political level, addressing areas such as offshore wind power and energy efficiency.
The delegation also discussed with the Viet Nam Electricity (EVN) on further cooperation in legal framework for offshore wind projects, energy efficiency measurement, and demand-side management.
Within the trip, BMWK delegation also had close exchange with the Vietnam Energy Women Network (VEWN) and the German enterprises in Viet Nam, as well as joined discussion with the Energy Efficiency Club (EEC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
