Businesses connect and exchange during the workshop. Credit: GIZ Viet Nam

Nearly 30 representatives from major domestic and international organizations participated in the Vietnamese-German Workshop on green hydrogen strategies and partnerships in Viet Nam on August 1, 2024.

The event provided a platform for businesses to exchange technologies and explore cooperation opportunities within the green hydrogen supply chain.

Ms. Stefanie, a member of the German National Hydrogen Council and Managing Partner of Neuman & Esser, highlighted the complexity of the green hydrogen value chain and emphasized the need for an integrated approach involving multiple stakeholders.

Delegates of the meeting show commitment to collaborating closely to advance Viet Nam’s green hydrogen (GH2) economy.

Mr. Markus Bissel, GIZ Project Director of H2Uppp, anticipates significant growth in Viet Nam’s green hydrogen sector, with a fully established GH2 economy by 2030.

The workshop, organized by GIZ’s Energy Support Programme and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), took place at the Office of German Industry and Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City.
