Urban Mobility India Conference – Session on “GatiShakti Master Plan – the Role of Cities”

Green Freight project supported in organising the session titled “GatiShakti MasterPlan – the Role of Cities” during the 15th Urban Mobility India Conference & Expo in Kochi from 4th to 6th November 2022. Addressing the audience, Mr. Anurag Jain (Secretary DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry) expressed that by adopting whole of Government apporach, innovative use of technology and a fully operational institutional arrangement for PM GatiShakti National Master Plan development, has brought about a transformational change in infrastructure planning and development at Central, State and city levels. The availability of GIS based layers of existing infrastructure, customised tools for decision making and the Project Monitoring Mechanism for fast tracked clearances in PM Gati Shakti digital portal, shall enable state and city authorities to plan better and adequate logistics infrastructure such as Multi-Modal Logistics Parks, Distribution Center’s, Warehouses, multimodal transportation network and service industrial parks.
