GIZ successfully organized the first workshop under the Energy Efficiency Practician Training Programme 2023. The programme aims to improve the capacity for young engineers and technicians to better recognize energy-saving opportunities at their own workplace.
This workshop is the first phase of the 3-phase training programme on Energy Efficiency (EE) practice. The trainees were equipped with basic knowledge EE, including the main related legal documents; Energy Management Systems, as well as methods and tools to analyze and evaluate the systems consuming energy in industry. Based on that, the trainees could develop an appropriate action plan for their companies to reduce electricity consumption and increase energy efficiency
After this workshop, the trainees will start developing an EE project for their own companies with the remote guidance of the lecturers. Students are expected to have a presentation on the project and receive the certificate of programme completion in late October this year.
The Programme has attracted nearly 30 students who are officers and employees from domestic and international organizations and businesses in the energy sector.
